Leave the installation, inspection, and repair of your fire hydrant to us.
Fire water mains are installed in buildings to provide a reliable water supply for firefighting purposes.
Water sources intended for firefighting must be capable of continuously supplying the required amount of water for at least 30 minutes and must provide suitable conditions for water pumping.

Penetrations of distribution systems, installations, technical equipment, and technological equipment through fire-separating structures must be sealed to prevent the spread of fire to adjacent fire compartments.
The sealing must meet the fire resistance rating of the fire-separating structure it passes through, but not exceed EI 90.
Internal fire water supply system – hydrant, designed for water supply:
- Hose equipment for initial firefighting by building users
- Outlet designed for quick and effective intervention by the fire brigade in the building.
The hose reel, hose reel cabinet or wall hydrant cabinet must be marked with a pictogram.

The marking of the hose reel and wall hydrant shall include:
- the name or trade name of the manufacturer/supplier
- the technical standard number
- the year of manufacture
- the maximum working pressure in MPa
- the length and diameter of the hose
- the diameter of the nozzle opening
In addition, the hose equipment must be provided with instructions for use, which must be affixed to the cabinet or reel, or placed in its immediate vicinity.
Inspection of fire water water mains / hydrant
Inspection of water supply equipment – fire hydrants after they have been handed over for use shall be carried out by a legal entity or natural person-entrepreneur at least once every 12 months, unless the manufacturer of individual parts of the equipment specifies a shorter interval.
A record of the inspection shall be made, stating the actual condition – functional/non-functional. The legal entity is required to retain these records for a minimum of 5 years.
Price for hydrant inspection: €6 per unit (excluding VAT).
Pressure test of fire hose
Fire hoses located in hose reels are tested for functionality by means of a pressure test at least once every 12 months. After the test, a record of the current condition is created.
Price for fire hose pressure testing: €8 per piece (excluding VAT).
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
A fire water system is a network of pipes and hydrants that supplies water for firefighting. It ensures quick and effective response in the event of a fire.
The inspection includes pressure testing, flow checks, hydrant functionality, and condition of fittings. All results are recorded in a report.
Inspection is carried out at least once a year. In some cases, more frequently — depending on the type of building, its use, and internal regulations. This obligation arises from Act No. 314/2001 Coll. on Fire Protection and Decree of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic No. 121/2002 Coll., which sets the requirements for fire safety of buildings and the procedures for their inspection.
Only certified individuals or companies authorized to inspect fire protection systems.
The system may fail during a fire, fines may be imposed by authorities, and insurance coverage may be reduced.
