Types of equipment

Classification of RTE by technology type.

Decree 508/2009 Coll. divides reserved technical equipment into four main groups. Each group has its own inspection intervals and documentation requirements.

Group T

Pressure RTE

Water-heating and steam boilers, stationary pressure vessels, expansion vessels and pipeline systems for gases and hazardous liquids.

Group Z

Lifting RTE

Lifts, escalators, moving walkways, platforms for persons with limited mobility, cranes and mobile work platforms.

Group E

Electrical RTE

Building electrical installations, main distribution cabinets, lightning protection systems, electrical machines and appliances managed within the building.

Group P

Gas RTE

Gas distribution systems in buildings, gas boiler rooms, gas regulation stations and equipment for burning gaseous fuels with output above 5 kW.

OSH and RTE audit

Operational audit, RTE records and inspection planning.

We also offer occupational safety and health services related to work activities on reserved technical equipment, including preparation of reports on compliance status.

Comprehensive operational audit before final approval or before commissioning RTE
Preparation for inspections by state authorities, tenants and managed buildings
Preparation of written or electronic RTE records according to the actual condition
Inspection scheduling and planning based on audit results
Modern building ready for servicing and expert technical inspections
Owner and manager obligations

What a building manager or owner must monitor in 2026.

Under current legislation, the manager is required to maintain accurate records of all RTE in the property and ensure their safe operation.

1. Documentation and asset records

Each device must have an asset record, operating instructions and an inspection logbook. Missing documentation is often one of the first reasons for penalties during inspections.

2. Expert inspections, tests and deadlines

Inspection and testing deadlines must be monitored. Some intervals are measured in years, others in months, depending on the type and category of the equipment.

3. Rectification of deficiencies

If a serious defect is identified by the inspection technician, the equipment must be taken out of service immediately until repaired and safely returned to operation.

Process

Four steps to safe RTE operation.

The process is set up so that you stay in control of the technical condition, documentation and future inspection deadlines.

Step 1 Initial analysis

We review the equipment types, technical documentation, records and current inspection status.

Step 2 Inspection plan

We prepare a plan of expert inspections and tests based on the scope and needs of your operation.

Step 3 Execution of services

We carry out inspections, tests, operator verification and, where required, minor corrective work.

Step 4 Report and records

We deliver a report on the inspection, equipment condition and documents for further record-keeping and planning.

Penalties and risks

Neglecting RTE may lead to financial and criminal consequences.

In 2026, the labour inspectorate may impose fines of up to EUR 100,000 for breaches of obligations. In the event of injury or property damage, the insurer may refuse insurance coverage.

Risk of high fines for non-compliance with obligations under Decree 508/2009 Coll.
Possible refusal of insurance coverage in the event of damage caused by neglected inspections
Responsibility of the manager, homeowners’ association chair or company representative for safe equipment operation
Ignorance of the law is no excuse.

This applies even more to RTE, because the safety of dozens or even hundreds of residents, visitors or employees in one building may be at stake.

Modern approach

Digital inspection management through the RESQ app.

When managing a larger number of devices, manual deadline tracking becomes inefficient. Thanks to our RESQ app, RTE records are digital, clear and ready for everyday building management.

Automatic alerts for upcoming inspection deadlines
Digital equipment records based on the actual condition of the property
Fast overview of inspections, reports and equipment history in one place
Digital management of technical equipment and modern facility management
Service enquiry

Keep your RTE inspections under control before a problem arises

Send us a non-binding enquiry and we will prepare a proposal for expert inspections, tests, audits or equipment records tailored to your building.
