Innovations in Safety: Our Participation at SlovakiaTech 2025
The two-day innovation festival SlovakiaTech Forum – Expo 2025, held on September 17–18 in Košice’s Kulturpark, was dedicated to robotics, artificial intelligence, and technological progress. This year, the event attracted over 4,600 visitors and 132 speakers from Slovakia and abroad — including our founder and CEO, Simona Kalinovská, who delivered an inspiring presentation on innovations in fire protection.
Innovations That Save Lives
During her presentation on the SlovakiaTech stage, our CEO introduced her vision of how modern technologies — from autonomous systems to robotic solutions — can fundamentally transform the way we respond to fires and other emergency situations. Her talk focused particularly on the importance of electronic fire detection systems and automated extinguishing systems, including the innovative water mist system, which significantly enhances firefighting efficiency and helps minimize damage.
A key message of her presentation was that a safer environment starts with the responsible approach of each and every one of us — because even the most advanced technologies can only deliver their full potential when accompanied by awareness, prevention, and responsible behavior.
Robots in the Service of Firefighters
The stand of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) also attracted great attention, ranking among the most technologically appealing parts of the exhibition area. HaZZ representatives presented state-of-the-art intervention robots used in emergency situations:
COLOSSUS – a robust firefighting intervention robot, known for its deployment during the Notre-Dame Cathedral fire in Paris. It can operate in environments with high temperatures and carry heavy equipment, helping to protect the lives of firefighters on the scene.
FIRST MOVER – an innovative robot with a platform designed for moving cars out of underground garages or other hard-to-reach areas. It simplifies the handling of vehicles in emergency situations and contributes to faster accessibility of intervention zones.
In addition to these ground robots, HaZZ also showcased an underwater robot and a drone, which complement the modern arsenal of technologies used in rescue and reconnaissance operations.
A Place Where Vision Meets Reality
The SlovakiaTech 2025 event carried the motto “The Year of X”, symbolizing the crossroads at which our society finds itself today. Discussions touched upon topics such as artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, sustainability, and automation – while also showing that even in the field of fire protection, innovation can significantly push the boundaries of what is possible.
Our participation in SlovakiaTech 2025 was an exceptional opportunity to showcase to professionals and the public alike that technology saves lives – and that Slovakia has the potential to be a leader in this field.
