On June 14, 2025, we attended a special event celebrating Children’s Day at Fire Station HS5 in Petržalka. The weather was perfect — an ideal day for fun, exploration, and new experiences.
The program was rich and excellently organized. Children enthusiastically tried on firefighter gear and got to feel like real rescuers for a moment. This was followed by a tour of the emergency vehicle, where the firefighters kindly explained how it works and what it’s used for. We admired the modern equipment and technology that firefighters use daily in their operations.

One of the highlights of the program was the climbing wall, which the children eagerly scaled, as well as an interactive first aid demonstration — where they had the chance to practice proper resuscitation techniques on mannequins, all under the guidance of patient and friendly professionals.
A huge thrill was the ride on a quad bike — the excitement in the children’s eyes was unmistakable. But the absolute favorite was the foam party, where they could jump and play to their heart’s content. A special moment came with a cool refreshment straight from the fire hose — a perfect treat on a hot summer day.
To wrap up the day, everyone enjoyed a sweet surprise — a beautiful and delicious firetruck-shaped cake, from which each child got their own slice. This thoughtful touch was the perfect ending to a day full of joy.
The entire event was excellently organized, with a friendly atmosphere and great dedication from the firefighters. We’re leaving not only with plenty of photos and videos, but most importantly with memories that will stay alive in our community for a long time. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this wonderful day possible!
