FIREFLEX – Water tanks for fire fighting
When working on the ground, firefighters can use water tanks FIREFLEX as a standby tank or as an immediately available source of water. The FIREFLEX self-supporting tank can be easily filled from the nearest water source, lake, stream or possibly a water tank.
This type of filling of water reservoirs is also professionally called “water transport” in hard-to-reach terrain. It is also possible to fill the Bambi Buckets from the water tanks.
Available tank sizes from 2275 – 54,500 l of water.
This durable, lightweight, multi-purpose tank can be used for both ground and aerial firefighting. It can serve as a water source or as a bridging tank. The tank is compatible with Bambi Buckets, making it a standard solution for helicopter-based firefighting.
Developed based on field experience, the tank is deep enough to allow full submersion of a Bambi Bucket during each refill.
When access to water is limited, helicopter pilots performing aerial firefighting can quickly refill Bambi Buckets and continue their efforts without delay. The Fireflex tank can be refilled while the helicopter is flying between the water source and the fire site, maximizing valuable flight time and saving fuel.
