When working in the cold, the employer must adjust the working time so that safety breaks between periods of continuous work allow for at least 10 minutes in the heated room/warming room ⏳
According to Decree No. 99/2016 Coll. on details regarding the protection of health from heat and cold stress at work, the maximum continuous working period at a given ambient temperature is:
a) between 10 °C and 4 °C shall not exceed 3 hours,
b) from 4 °C to -10 °C shall not exceed 2 hours,
c) from -10 °C to -20 °C, not exceeding 60 minutes,
d) from – 20 °C to – 30 °C not to exceed 30 minutes.
